Noughts and Exes documentary

Story Inc. Asia has long been huge fans of Hong Kong's most talented band Noughts and Exes so we were delighted to ask to produce their album launch concert and a documentary as co-production with Laundromatte. The documentary is slated to premiere at the Hong Kong International Film Festival. The band's last record A Fine Line was voted a Top Ten Album for China by Time Out Magazine and they were voted TIME Magazine's number two Asian bands to watch. Noughts and Exes's Indie folk pop sound has by lead by its multicultural line up from Hong Kong, Canada, Britain and Australia and is finding a place in the hearts of a growing number of fans. A recent DNA study proves what many European gypsies have long known, that they are descendant from Gypsies in Rajasthan, India. In response the Gypsy Sound Revolution a super group founded by Gipsy Kings former drummer Ced Leonardi and Gipsy Kings family members George Reyes and Mario Reyes who are joined by the Spanish flamenco legend Antonio Carmona - as well as other European gypsies. Return to Rajasthan follows this amazing musical and cultural journey as they negotiate the common land and wide gulfs between them from the studio in Los Angeles; to Gipsy Kings' home in Camargue, France; the Gypsy Holocaust Memorial in Berlin, Germany; and migration gateway in Istanbul, Turkey before travelling to their ancestral home in Jodhpur, India to work with local artists to record an album fusing traditional Rumba with Indian Alap or 'Bomboleo meets Bollywood'. This will be showcased at the Rajasthan International Folk Festival (RIFF) - the world's largest and most experimental. Return to Rajasthan has been developed by Hedway Inc and Story Inc. Asia. Al Jazeera: Earthrise documentary Fashion Scrubs Up

Al Jazeera has commissioned Story Inc. Asia to produce the documentary "Fashion Scrubs Up" for their Earthrise series. The award winning series explores solutions to today's environmental challenges, taking an upbeat look at ecological, scientific, technological and design projects the world over. In this episode Al Jazeera Correspondent Divya Gopalan meets Christina Dean founder of Redress a fashion NGO who promotes environmental sustainability in Asia's fashion industry by reducing textile waste, pollution, water and energy consumption. Through their innovative R Certificate they enable consumers to track the clothes journey from factory to retail, making fast fashion transparent for the first time. And through their EcoChic Design Awards they inspire young designers such as winner Janko Lam to create sustainable mass produced fashion. Written by Divya Gopalan and Niall Phelan. Richard Juhlin Champagne documentary

The world’s leading Champagne expert Richard Juhlin hosts a Champagne Celebration documentary. Organised over three glorious New York City nights by friend John Kapon, CEO of Acker, Merrall & Condit, the world’s leading fine wine auction house. The documentary covers: An Introduction to Champagne and terroir, 1996 Vintage at Gramercy Tavern with Chef Michael Anthony, and Fine & Rare vintages from the cellar of legendary collector Robert Rosania at Le Bernardin with three-star Michelin Chef Eric Ripert. All lead by the guiding light of Richard Juhlin. Famed for having tasted over 8,000 champagnes and penning such best selling books as the comprehensive Champagne Guide. Asia to help document their design philosophy, shooting with their teams, clients and projects on location in Abu Dhabi, Beijing, Dubai, Guangzhou, Hong Kong, London, Manchester, Shanghai, and Singapore. The Don Stott Collection - a Burgundy reference library from the greatest collector of the modern era. Joined by John Kapon, CEO of Acker Merrall & Condit the world’s largest fine and rare wine auction house, and Allen MeadowsThe Burghound”, were top Burgundian producers: Francois Labet of Chateau de La Tour, Louis-Michel Liger-Belair of Domaine du Comte Liger-Belair, Pierre-Henri Gagey of Domaine Louis Jadot, Sylvain Pitoit of Domaine Clos de Tart, Jeremy Seysses of Domaine Dujac, Comte Philippe Senard of Domaine Comte Senard, Eric Rousseau of Domaine Armand Rousseau, Veronique Drouhin of Maison Joseph Drouhin. Shot on location in Burgundy and in Hong Kong, with auctions at Island Shangri-La Hotel, Grand Hyatt Hotel, and events on the 150ft MY Grand Cru and Fook Lam Moon restaurant. Story Inc. Benesse Art Site documentary

Benesse Art Site is on Naoshima Island off the coast of Japan. It is art park combining the themes of “Nature and Art” in a complex that includes a luxury hotel and two museums: Benesse House Museum and Chichu Art Museum. Christian Rhomberg brought in Story Inc. Asia to create a documentary or as he called it, ‘a bricolage’. As a bonus we got to work with the digital media expert Nickey Khem and the creative artist Angela Kan which was a rare treat.
